Gibbs Family Ministries
Roy and Nancy Gibbs
I am simply a sinner saved by grace and even though there were times I have stepped out of God’s Will, I have never been out of His Care. I am here today because of the Love of God, the guiding of His Holy Spirit, and the cleansing Blood of Jesus. It is our desire to spend the rest of our lives as salt and light for a world in need.
I am blessed with a wonderful family: my wife Nancy, three children, and three grandchildren. My experiences as a parent and grandparent have helped me to understand some of the feelings which God has for His Children. I am so thankful for His Love and my family.
I graduated from
I have served in public schools for over twenty years. I teach Government, Economics, and World Affairs. I have had the opportunity to coach wrestling, football, softball, basketball, and track. These experiences have afforded me many opportunities to spiritually influence young people and have given me insight into the problems facing youth and families today.
I have served in a variety of church staff positions over the past 36 years. These include: Youth Director, Minister of Music, Associate Pastor, and Pastor. I was ordained and began my first church pastorate in October, 1974.
I have led revivals, preached in crusades, taught witnessing classes, led retreats, assisted in conferences, and spoken to civic organizations. In addition, Nancy and I have partnered in leading joint programs for men, women, and the combined church family over a weekend conference/revival. These weekends include preaching, teaching, music, and fellowship.
We would like to offer a variety of options for ministering to your church needs. These may include revivals, retreats, conferences, concerts, or single programs. Activities can be designed to meet your requirements. We would be honored to share in ministering to your church family and community.
Our Ministry is to lift up the Name of Jesus and is based on the following verses:
Luke 10:2 (New International Version)
2He told them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.
Acts 1:8 (New International Version)
8But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in
Romans 10:13-15 (New International Version)
13for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."[a]
14How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"[b]
Romans 1:15-17 (New International Version)
15That is why I am so eager to preach the gospel also to you who are at
16I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. 17For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last,[a] just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith."[b]
Philippians 3:12-14 (New International Version)
12Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
